We want anyone in Lubbock County to be able to use this site, learn about their water, and get a quote — regardless of how they browse the web.

The standard we aim for
We build and maintain this site with the goal of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure, so screen readers can navigate the page in order
- Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator
- Body and heading text is designed to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background
- Meaningful images carry alternative text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology
- Animations respect your system’s “reduce motion” setting — if it is on, content appears without movement
- The layout is responsive down to small phone screens, supports browser zoom, and never scrolls sideways
- Form fields have visible labels (not placeholder-only), and validation errors appear next to the field they belong to and are announced to screen readers
- Phone numbers and email addresses are real links, so they work with voice control and assistive tools
Known limitations
- We link out to third-party resources — such as the EWG Tap Water Database and NSF certification listings. Those sites are not under our control and we cannot guarantee their accessibility.
- Product photography is illustrative. If an image is important to your decision and you need it described, call us and we will walk you through it.
- We test on current versions of major browsers and screen readers. Very old browsers may not present the site as intended.
