I grew up on Lubbock water.
Most of my life has been spent in this town, in houses running the same hard, chlorinated water you have. I didn’t read about this problem in a sales binder. I lived in it.
Meet Luke
“The equipment was never the problem. The way it gets sold was.”
I’m Luke, and I started Honest Water Co. of Lubbock. I was raised here and I’ve been here most of my life, which means I know exactly what this water does to a house — the scale on the fixtures, the film on the shower door, the water heater that gives up years before it should, the dishes that never quite come clean. That’s not a sales pitch to me. It’s the house I grew up in.
When I got into this industry, the equipment wasn’t what bothered me. The selling was. Quotes that climb into eight and ten thousand dollars. Prices that depend on how the conversation is going rather than on what your water needs. Long appointments built to wear you down instead of inform you. A process designed to be confusing, because confusion is where the margin hides.
I thought a water company in Lubbock could be run the opposite way. So that’s what this is.
Our price is on the website before you ever speak to me. The in-home water test is free and you see the result yourself. I’ll tell you which system your water actually calls for — including when that’s a smaller one than you expected, and including when the honest answer is that you don’t need us at all. Then we install it properly and back it with a lifetime warranty, because I’d rather sell you equipment that lasts than sell you a replacement in six years.
I believe something of real value should be attainable for a normal family. Clean water in your home isn’t a luxury upgrade and it shouldn’t be priced like one.
What we stand on
Three things we don’t bend on.
Transparency
The price is published before you call. The water test result is something you look at with your own eyes. Nothing about what we recommend or what it costs depends on how the conversation is going.
Professionalism
An easy, upfront process from the first call to the finished install. No three-hour appointment, no pressure to decide today, no figure that changes once we’re standing in your kitchen.
Integrity
We tell you the truth about your water, even when the truth costs us the bigger sale. If a smaller system handles it, that’s what we’ll quote. The name on the van is the standard we’re held to.
What to expect
How working with us actually goes.
No mystery to it, and nothing that only gets explained once someone is standing in your kitchen:
- A free quote, with no pressure. We test your water, tell you what it needs, and leave you to think about it on your own timeline.
- An honest system recommendation. Based on your water and your house — including when that means a smaller system than you came in expecting.
- Upfront pricing, no hidden fees. The number is published before you call, and it doesn’t move depending on how the conversation goes.
- A lifetime warranty on parts. Lifetime on system dry parts, 5 years on the valve, board and media, 1 year on labor — written out on the warranty page.
- Same-day or next-day installation available. Once you’ve decided, you’re usually not waiting long — we’ll give you the soonest date we can actually make when we quote.
The equipment
Top-quality, USA-made systems.
Being straight with people only counts for something if what you install is worth having. Our systems are built around USA-made, high-capacity softening resin and granular activated coconut shell carbon, run by the Honest ProValve — equipment chosen because it lasts, not because it prices well.
Every system carries a lifetime warranty on dry parts, 5 years on the control valve, circuit board and filtration media, and 1 year on installation labor. The full terms are on the warranty page — written out, in plain language, where you can read them before you buy rather than after.
You can see exactly what we install on the whole-home systems and drinking water pages, with the specifications for each.
Ready when you are
Start with a free water test.
We test your actual water, tell you what it calls for, and give you the number. No obligation, no pressure, and no appointment required before you know the price — that’s already on the site.
