Dual Tank System — City Water
City water · separate softening and carbon tanks
Our largest whole-home system. Rather than asking one tank to do two jobs, this splits softening and carbon filtration across two vessels.
A single ProValve drives both tanks — resin in the first, carbon in the second. Because neither medium is sharing space with the other, each gets its full depth to work with, and the system has considerably more softening capacity to draw on.
The carbon tank backwashes itself on its own schedule, which means the media is not something you are pulling out and replacing on a calendar.
Key features
- 96,000 grains of softening capacity — our highest.
- A dedicated carbon tank that backwashes itself, rather than carbon sharing a vessel with the resin.
- Honest ProValve driving both tanks, with ceramic discs, configurable programming and 72-hour memory backup.
- USA-made high-capacity softening resin and granular activated coconut shell carbon.
- Brine tank that stores the salt, mixes the brine for regeneration and recharges the softening media.
